How a book changed my life.
When I began college, I was an English major. In the middle of my junior year, a professor assigned 'The Canterbury Tales' by Geoffrey Chaucer. It was written in Middle English but it may as well have been written in hieroglyphics. My classmates raved about the book… calling it a “masterpiece” and “pivotal.”
I hated the book.
I hated my classes.
I was miserable.
I called my mother in tears and she gave me the best advice: “Do what makes your heart go pitter-patter.” βββββββββββ
I quit the following week. My father was horrified...and I'm certain he wasn't happy with my mother. ββββββββI felt a profound sense of relief and I finally felt free to pursue my true passion: Interior Design.

I graduated Magne Cum Laude with a BA in Interior Design and I can honestly say changing majors was one of the best decisions I ever made. I owe it all to A BOOK and, of course, my mother.ββββββββ ββββββββ
